Our History

Founded in 1947 by Ivan C. Nester upon his return from service in WWII as a Combat Engineer. The company soon established a legacy of dependability, quality work and honest dealings. Ranchers and property owners across South Texas valued the knowledge and handshake of a man who would get the job done right.

Over 75 years later and led by Ivan’s grandson (Josiah Peterson), that commitment remains steadfast.

Josiah has over 25 years of experience in commercial and residential construction across the region. From an early age, designing projects, running equipment and leading teams became common theme of his career. Now, as he leads Ivan Nester Construction, our vision for the future is clear and we are expanding the legacy for future generations.
